What Social Handled. is

Social Handled. is a social media planning tool for small businesses. You tell us about your business, upload your own photos, and we help you plan, write, and schedule posts. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.

What we collect

• Account information: email address and authentication details through our sign-in provider.
• Business details: the information you share during onboarding, such as your business name, industry, offerings, tone preferences, and brand colors.
• Photos and media: images you upload to your library so we can suggest captions, tags, and post ideas.
• Calendar and post data: scheduled dates, captions, hashtags, and approval status for the posts you create.
• Scheduler tokens: if you connect Buffer, we store an access token so we can send approved posts to your Buffer queue on your behalf.

How we use your information

• To generate captions, headlines, and post suggestions that match your brand voice.
• To organize your photos into a calendar of scheduled content.
• To send approved posts to connected scheduling platforms like Buffer.
• To improve the product and fix issues — we do not sell your data.

AI and third-party services

We use AI providers to analyze photos and write captions. Your photos and business information may be processed by these services solely to provide Social Handled features. We do not allow AI providers to train models on your content.

If you choose to connect Buffer, your approved post content and media are sent to Buffer according to your instructions.

Cookies and storage

We use standard browser storage and authentication cookies to keep you signed in. You can clear these through your browser settings at any time.

Data retention

We keep your account and content data for as long as your account is active. Uploaded photos that have been used in posts are automatically retired after 30 days to manage storage. You can delete your account and data at any time by contacting us.

Your rights

You can access, update, or delete your information through the app. You can also revoke Buffer access by disconnecting the integration in the Scheduling section.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the app.
